Make SCPS Employees Your Priority

Greetings,

Please take part in the "Make SCPS Employees a Priority" advocacy campaign. Send an email to Seminole County School Board members asking them to do as other districts across the state have by providing their employees an increase in salary.

Ask School Board members to support the salary schedule proposed by your bargaining team.

___________

"No salary increase for this year" is not just "no salary increase for this year."

Agreeing to the School Board's salary proposal, or having the proposal imposed on you, would negate the gains earned in the past, forever! The School Board's salary proposal decreases all future salary earnings throughout your career and throughout your retirement.

It's one thing to feel that your efforts and contributions are not valued by SCPS, but it's quite another thing to have your salary schedule and your retirement devalued.

__________

Due to the cuts in employees, the salary proposals by Seminole UniServ would cost less than amount the School Board spent on employee salaries last year.

__________

Despite irrational spending in the face of projected shortfalls, there is more than enough money in a "rainy day account" to fund salary increases proposed by Seminole UniServ.
