State revenues are indeed below estimate but how much more can our schools, colleges and universities stand to cut from their budgets? The current budget was cut in October 2007 and those cuts represented real reductions for our schools compared to the budget passed in May by the Legislature.

The Legislature in its zeal to reduce property taxes constantly reminded the public that our schools would be held harmless. Only the Governor has made any effort to keep that commitment.

Send key legislators a message that we must not cut more from the scarce resources dedicated to our public schools, community colleges and universities.
