I understand "Mr. Fitz" is drawn a middle school teacher in Volusia County who takes his inspiration from his experiences in his classes/school. His cartoons appear in the Daytona Beach News-Journal, my favorite paper! rolleyes.gif

The Florida Coalition for Assessment Reform (FCAR) features two other Mr. Fitz cartoons on its Web site. After you enjoy the cartoons, take a look around the FCAR Web site.

For the last seven years DeLand middle school teacher David Finkle's comic strip "Mr. Fitz" has appeared five days a week in the Daytona Beach News Journal. Like other teachers across the state, Mr. Fitz has been dealing with high-stakes testing. Just in time for Florida's version of March Madness, David has shared three of the strips in the current testing series with FCAR and F-TREND. U-SKUNK stands for the Universal SKills, UNderstanding, and Knowledge test.
