Tell Congress: Increase Education Funding!
The House and Senate Budget Committees have passed fiscal year 2009 budget resolutions that would substantially increase funding for education and provide fiscal relief for the states.
In contrast, the President's proposed budget would keep ESEA at current, underfunded levels; eliminate more than 40 education programs; slash the budgets of another 16 programs; and expand the use of vouchers.
The House and Senate budget resolutions are scheduled to move from the committee to the floor next week. Urge your elected representatives to vote for them when they do.

Tell Congress to increase education funding – not cut it as the President has proposed.
